Common Questions
How do I add a new medication?
To add a medication to your list, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Tap the "+" icon on the Reminders section to begin your setup.
- Step 2: In the "Medication Details" section, enter the Name, Instructions, and the specific Times you need to take it.
- Step 3: Set a Completion Date (Ends) if the medicine is for a fixed period.
Once you save, Jipende stores this in your
Active Medications and it will appear on your dashboard instantly.
How do I mark a medication as taken?
Tap on the medication name or card to expand it. You will then see "Today's Doses." Tap the "Mark as Taken" button for the correct time. The button will turn green and say "Taken ā" once logged.
How do I see instructions or start dates?
Each medication card shows the Start Date and Frequency (e.g., 3x Daily) on the front. To see your specific š Instructions, simply tap the card to expand the details.
What happens when I delete a medication?
When you tap "Delete Medication" and confirm, the app removes it from your daily reminders and automatically marks it as Visible in your history logs so you can still track your past progress.
How do Push Notifications work in Jipende?
Jipende uses a
Smart Sync system:
- Subscription: First, ensure you have an active Push Notification plan.
- Device Sync: Since alerts are device-specific, you must tap "Enable" on every phone or computer you want to receive reminders on.
- Automated Delivery: Once synced, our servers check your plan status in real-time before sending each reminder.
Note: If you stop your subscription, notifications will pause automatically until you renew.
Can I get reminders on more than one phone?
Yes! Jipende supports multi-device syncing. Simply log in on any device you want to use and tap the "Enable on this device" banner. You will receive alerts on all synced devices simultaneously.
Where is the "Enable Notifications" button?
The button only appears on your Home Screen if your account is eligible for reminders and your current device isn't synced yet. If you don't see it, you are either already synced or need to check your subscription status.
Why does Jipende ask to sync every time I use a new device?
To keep your data private and your reminders accurate, Jipende verifies your connection on every new device.
Since we don't want to spam devices you no longer use, we only send alerts to phones or computers where you have explicitly tapped "Enable on this device." One tap is all it takes to keep your schedule in sync!
Iām not getting notifications on my new phone?
Push notifications are device-specific. Even if you have an active subscription:
- Ensure you are logged in on the new device.
- Go to Settings and tap "Sync Notifications" to register your new phone.
- Make sure your phone's system settings allow Jipende to send alerts.
I clicked "Enable" but I'm still not getting alerts?
If you see a red message saying
"Notifications blocked," it means your browser settings are preventing Jipende from sending alerts.
To fix this:
- Tap the Lock icon (š) in your browser address bar.
- Ensure the Notifications toggle is set to Allow.
- Refresh the page and try syncing again.
The "Mark as Taken" button is disabled. Why?
If the button is green and disabled, it means you have already successfully logged that dose for today. You cannot log the same dose twice on the same day.
